EA has decided to “kill” as many as five Need for Speed titles ›FFA.hr Gaming Portal

EA has announced it will completely remove it Need for Speed: Carbon, Undercover, Shift, Shift 2: Unleashed, and Need for Speed Run from digital stores as of May 31st. The online parts of the games and services will remain active, but only until August 31. After that, the games will only be able to be played offline.

Decisions to retire games are never easy, but it’s all with the goal of shifting our focus toward the new Need for Speed.

The main reason for removing the games, however, is that the number of online players and active players who play these titles has become extremely small and financially unprofitable for EA.

We hope you have achieved many victories, feasted on incredible drifts, moments of friendly rivalry and hours of enjoyment in our games
